Technogym Treadmill has enough doodads to make running fun (again?)

It is pretty dang surprising that this technology trend is so slow to take off. With displays so small they can be rolled up, everyone and their hamster owning an iPod and wireless everything existing; it was only inevitable that these sources of entertainment would be utilized in one of the most grueling activities known — running. The Technogym Treadmill 700i includes enough gadgetry to make even the most tested consumer electronics blogger weak at the knees.

The 700i comes packed to the brim with an iPod dock, touchscreen, television, radio and a unique software suite capable of automatically determining a workout regimen. Oh, and at the bottom there is a tread that spins around forcing you to run, but that is the least important feature. Don't get too excited, the Technogym Treadmill 700i is $16,000.
