I'm not really sure Apple will be quaking in its boots, but Verizon is hoping to steal a little thunder from the iPhone with LG's Voyager phone. The biggest advantage? It has faster Web access than the phone from Cupertino. The Voyager also has a traditional keypad hidden under a hinged panel that also features a second screen. Other highlights include a 2-megapixel camera and a slot for 8 gigabytes of extra memory. Unfortunately, LG is going the same route as Apple, making the Voyager exclusive to only one service, Verizon.
"We think it'll be the best phone… this year. It will kill the iPhone," Verizon Wireless Chief Marketing Officer Mike Lanman said in an interview.
Really? The Voyager is expected to launch in November for a price between $100 and $400. The phone is going to have to be pretty darn great if it is going to claim the prize as best phone of the year when it only has one month to convince subscribers.

It looks sleek and pretty and the features sound quite useable. As a verizon coustomer I would like one.
