Mobile Robots is reissuing its commercial PatrolBot (showing off its navigation in a video after the jump) with features the company hopes will make its 'bot more attractive to the consumer. Ever wish you had a robot to bring you a beer while you were sitting there on the sofa? That'd be the BrewskiBot you were dreaming about. How about one to serve the guests cocktails, or protect your home? Sounds a little like Mobile Robots' Jeeves and Agent 007.
All three variants use the same PatrolBot base, which is fitted with 12 sonar sensors, 10 bumper pads, an electric motor and wireless control. The little bumper-bot will be able to find its way around your home once you input your floor plan, and it'll even say "excuse me" if it errs along its path. Still, the robots look like little more than glorified, wheeled serving tables, not to mentioned each one costs over $30,000. But hey, who actually wanted presents under the tree anyway?
