Short-throw projectors are great for smaller spaces. Rather than having to be set back 10 or 20 feet from the wall that they project against, they aim their image upwards, allowing you to set it up close to the screen.

This Hitachi CP-A100 is an ultra-short throw, meaning it can toss a whopping 60-inch image up on a wall from a mere 16.5 inches away. You can't ask for much closer than that. It'll cut out the chance of someone walking in front of the projector and casting a gigantic shadow on the wall, which is nice. As for stats, it has a brightness of 2500 ANSI lumens, a 400:1 contrast ratio and 1024x768 resolution. No word on pricing or availability, unfortunately. — Adam Frucci
