I like my bike, but it takes up a tremendous amount of room in the garage, on the rack behind the SUV, and in my office where it won't get stolen. We've seen folding bikes before, but not one as tiny as the Strida 5.0. At 19.4 pounds, the Strida 5.0 is not only super light (thanks to the aluminum frame), but has real alloy wheels instead of plastic, which means those needing to lose a few pounds don't have to worry about the bike collapsing under the weight. And in case you missed it, the bike folds away in six seconds.
It's a nice design, but it doesn't look too comfortable for anything longer than a few mile commute to work. The Strida 5 ships October 25 for a reasonable $800.
