Cavius travel accessory protects, deafens, prevents fires

cavius_alarm.jpg

Don't confuse the Cavius for a bomb detonator. It may look like something inside of a nuclear football, but it is actually a personal security device with an added bonus. A push of the red button will set off an alarm at 130dB, which is equivalent to a jet engine at 100 feet or a gun shot. The Cavius also has a motion sensing mode where the alarm will sound if motion is detected. That can be used in a stationary position (at a door, for example) or attached to your luggage via the carbiner clip, but don't be surprised if you find it broken because a disgruntled baggage handler is not in the mood to deal with that type of an alarm.

The Cavius also has the added bonus of a smoke detector, but not one of those run-of-the-mill fire-sniffing smoke detectors, this one uses optics to detect the fire and will then blare its 130dB alarm. The Cavius is available from Travelsafe for $70, which may seem like a lot but you have to consider how many times it may save your life in the average day.
