Brando's 2GB Chocolate MP3 player is cheap, possibly chocolatey
USBChocolateMP3_2.jpg

Cute, light and cheap — that's what we like in an MP3 player, and this "Chocolate" one certainly qualifies. Available from Brando, the USB Chocolate MP3 player has 2GB for your tunes, room for about 300 MP3 or WMA songs. With that capacity, featherweight heft (about half an ounce), and no screen, it's reminiscent of the iPod Shuffle — but is half the price at $39. That even includes a neck strap and USB cable. And packaging, we presume.

That just leaves the mystery of why it's called the Chocolate MP3 player. LG's Chocolate product line aside, the player doesn't look much like a candy bar, and it has those weird animal and person icons on the front (a little clearer in the gallery below), so it's a bit of a stretch. They should have called it the animal-cracker player (mmm… animal crackers). Or the "two dudes surfing with a rooster and a dog" player. On second thought, guys, you probably made the right choice.

It looks like a toy I'd play with when I was a kid.

And while I like small electronics and all, they're getting so tiny that I'm constantly in fear of losing some very expensive stuff.

...umm...Is it just me, or is the dog icon 'lifting his leg'?
