Meet Triops, the work of German designer Franziska Faoro. This Rolly-shaped device is actually a panoramic digital camera. Triops can take pictures normally, but the real action happens when you throw it though the air. That's when the durable little guy shoots those cool artsy and blurry shots. While standing still, Triops can take regular panoramic shots thanks to its three lenses. It then wirelessly transfers the photos to a nearby computer.
Triops is a finalist for BraunPrize 2007, an international design award. Unlike most concept designs, Faoro is searching for a manufacturer to produce Triops. Keep that warranty handy, throwing gadgets never works out well.
