Remember the good old days, when there was only one model of each game console? I mean, I had a Super Nintendo, and that was an easy choice for me. I didn't need to worry about a newer, cheaper, or fancier version coming out. From the start of its lifespan to the end, it was the same old SNES. It was great.
Well, those days are long gone. Now we've got four different Xbox 360 versions, with who knows how many more on the way, and two Playstation 3s with one additional one already discontinued. And it looks like they're looking to add yet another one according to a FCC filing. It looks to be a slimmer, cheaper model, as it has two USB ports compared to four on the current models, and the card reader that appears on current models is nowhere to be found. There's no info on how big the hard drive would be, but the safe bet is 40GB. In any case, some new model will be coming, probably before the holidays, so stay tuned.
