Rocking Kitchen Scale, powered by gravity

rocker_scale_front.jpg

Who says innovative design has to be complicated? The Rocking Kitchen Scale is so simple, we're wondering why no one has thought of it before. It works like a rocking chair, using gravitational pull and a sliding weight to precisely measure whatever you place into its removable container.

This Red Dot Design Award winner is available in your choice of graphite or white. Designed by Hannes Mayer, the scale uses no batteries or power of any kind, and can weigh foods or items up to 2kg. There are plenty of other scales that are much more complicated, many with whimsical designs, but none can get the job done with such elegant efficiency.
