Photoshop is basically the end-all be-all of photo-editing programs; anyone who does anything remotely professional with digital image manipulation has it. It's the best piece of software around for dealing with your casual digital pictures, too, but the problem is that it's seriously overpowered for something like that and seriously overpriced to boot. Not many people are willing to drop $700 on software that they'll mainly use for cropping and color correction.
Which is why this is such good news: Adobe is putting a lite version of its flagship product online for free. Yep, you'll be able to use Photoshop Express to edit your photos right in your browser, free of charge. It won't have all the bells and whistles packed in the standalone version, obviously, but if you just want to clean up some of your digital pictures, you can't go wrong.
