This "Lobster" concept design for a portable music player is meant to be worn on your arm in the most comfortable way possible. Unlike armbands for typical gadgets like iPods, it doesn't just use a strap to wrap around your bicep. No, it's actually segmented, hence the name (like a lobster tail, get it?).

The segments are what really make the Lobster cool. Each one is detachable and gives the device a different function. There's the hard drive, a GPS unit, a camera, a cardiometer — all sorts of stuff you'd want on your player. If you're just going to the gym, you can plug in the cardiometer and hard drive. If you want a more robust device, include the camera and GPS unit as well. It's a really innovative design, one we'd love to see implemented in some consumer devices. — Adam Frucci
