How's this for a nice example of the difference between the technologies here in the States and over in Japan: a watch with 3G web access, a touchscreen, a phone, and an audio/video player. Yes, it's a watch with more features than the iPhone.

And sure, the iPhone might be a better designed gadget, it still doesn't connect to the web via 3G. In Japan, even their quirky watch-gadgets connect that quickly. It's a pretty nutty example of how we're still a couple years behind the land of the rising sun in the tech department. But just think, maybe in a couple years you too will have a big ugly phone on your wrist. It's the future! — Adam Frucci
