Long trips are made more bearable by taking a couple of movies along to watch. Current portable DVD players are still on the bulky side, and watching a flick on a small iPod screen is even worse. Designer Yeon-shin Seung thinks DVD players can be both small and large at the same time.
In this concept player, Seung thinks Sony's full-color flexible organic electroluminescent display (OLED) will make the device portable enough to take with you everywhere, while also giving users a large enough screen to sit back and enjoy the movie. I like the origami-like concept, but I'm not sure homeland security would be happy with you brandishing a spinning disc around an aircraft, but what they don't know won't hurt them. If this sucker ever supports Blu-ray, I'm sold.
