Just because something has the word "cool" in its title, doesn't mean that it's neat, awesome, or even a good idea. That's how we feel about the CoolTone mini-fridge, which comes tricked out with a CD player and clock radio. Yes, it will keep beer cool at a tailgate, but could its sound system ever be better than even a car radio? We can only imagine how great the tinny sound of a cheap radio sounds over the low buzz of a home appliance. In almost any situation, this beer-launching fridge makes more sense.
Right now, the CoolTone is only available in the U.K., at the early adopter price of $264. For future reference, here are some other kitchen appliances that will not be improved by having radios mounted to them: ovens, microwaves, air conditioners, and food processors.

Stapler? Lets put a clock radio on it and call it innovation. Radio? lets put a clock on it! Phones, MP3 players, calculators, flashlights, CANDLES! Yes!
The only good thing is that almost none of those took off. I'm sure I might change my tone when I next want to listen to the radio in the shower, but my clock radio faucet head is gone. (except for the candle, I think everything listed exists.)
