Here's a Z-car that's different from any you've ever seen, created by architect Zaha Hadid who earned her designing wings drawing plans for auto plants, not the cars themselves. Her Z.Car is a small single seater, just over 12 feet long and built of only the most modern materials. It has a fuel cell-powered engine, a rearview camera and is entirely pollution free.
Hadid is no stranger to fancy design exhibitions; she also created that spectacular kitchen of the future we showed you a couple of months ago that was featured at Milan Design Week. On the next page, take a look at an enlarged picture of the car with its wrap-around door closed.

A prototype of this three-wheeled concept vehicle, commissioned by car collector and art dealer Kenny Schachter, will soon be on display at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City.

Single seater? Pretty, but not very practical.

Where do the groceries go?

Silly human. People of the future will eat pills of synthesized nutrients because farming is pollution!

Just from the top of my head:
It's a two seater though you won't want to get in because you're going to bang your head on the door. There are lots of unnecessary lines. Cheapest way to produce hydrogen (for the fuel sell) is using natural gas. Byproducts of the production process are contaminants thus not solving the problem. No seatbelts?. Storage compartment? I guess you'll need a bicycle with a basket to get your groceries. No make out space. No back seat. Looks nice on the picture (does it?) but not very practical. Also not a new design. I've seen lots of similar concept cars

She is an architect, not an auto designer, give her a break. At least shes trying. :)

Looks more like art and less like something usable. Well, goes to show, they don't make futurists like they used to.
Speaking of useful futuristic improvements to cars when are they going to make cars that can:
a) go automatically to it's preprogrammed destination (so I can nap along the way)
b) fly
c) be driven by my dog (hey, he's pretty smart)...(well, it's just as useful as a single seat two-foot car).

To top it off, in a fatal mishap, this vehicle can double as a "ready-to-go" coffin.

I believe it's a great vehicle for those of us that have to drive to/from work twice a day. It would save space on the road and money in your pocket.
