Steering wheel desk will get you into an accident or your money back
In a world full of bad ideas, the steering wheel desk stands out to me as a particularly horrible one. It's a flat surface that straps onto your steering wheel, providing a place to put your laptop or notepad. Finally, you can type up that report with both hands while using your knees to steer while driving at 70MPH! Productivity is a beautiful thing.
In an age where holding a phone to your ear while driving is illegal, how is this think OK? It looks like perhaps the most dangerous driving accessory ever. Unless you lived in your car and also worked from home, I don't see how this thing should be sold. Anyone caught driving while typing should be arrested for putting other drivers at risk. For shame, steering wheel desk. For shame.

There will always be an idiot out there in the world to take a good thing and make it a potentially bad thing. In this world of multi-tasking, there will be people out there doing something while driving that they shouldn't be doing. For instance, people reading the newspaper while driving with their knees, women putting on their make-up while driving with their knees, men shaving and looking in the rear-view mirror while driving with their knees, and now with a steering wheel desk to place your laptop on, there will be an idiot to use their laptop while driving with their knees. This can apply to anything though. So although there will be idiots to do bad things with good products, this item was developed to be used WHILE PARKED. I am a police officer and it is very handy for me to do paperwork with WHILE PARKED. This is the product information and description:

So, as you can see, the manufacturer warns that this is to be used while parked and to remove it when you are ready to drive. The product is not to be blamed for the way it is used by IDIOTS.

Agreed with the last two posts. Whoever thinks a steering wheel desk is to be used while driving is missing the point. PARK YOUR CAR WHEN USING IT!
