Samsung adds Bluetooth to the MP3-player mix

samsung_p2.jpg

What's the one thing you could change about your MP3 player if you could? Right, exactly — that annoying headphone cord that gets tangled up, breaks easily, and generally weighs down your ears. Well, Samsung thinks its fixed the problem with its YP-P2 and YP-T10 MP3 players, both of which prominently feature Bluetooth wireless technology for streaming tunes to wireless headphones.

Never mind that those headphones are sold separately. Pretty annoying, yeah, but at least that means if Samsung's YA-BH270 Bluetooth headset turns out to be a total piece of crap (simmer down — I said "if"), you can turn to other options.

The iPhone-esque P2 (above) has a 16:9 display, weighs 3 ounces, and can store up to 8 GB of music and video. The T10 weighs just 1.5 ounces and stores 4 gigs, but it does video as well. No price info on any of this stuff, but Samsung plans to release them next month, so we shouldn't have to wait too long. Check out a pic of the T10 after the jump.

I have had bluetooth headphones hooked up to my pda ever since I got my first one 5 years ago. Now that they have 32gb sd cards, mp3 players of this nature are just one more thing in the pocket.
