iRobot, makers of the popular Roomba robotic vacuum cleaners, has just announced the newest member of their helpful robot family: the Roomba 500. This latest and greatest version of their flagship product adds a bunch of features that should please the most lazy-yet-tidy of robot fans.
One of the biggest new features is some new anti-tangle technology, keeping your cute little Roomba from getting caught on wires and tassels (I don't know about you, but my apartment is full of tassels). It's also quieter, so it won't wake you up from a nap when it starts its rounds, and it will be able to sense when it's about to hit a wall, so it'll slow down and not whack itself into it. The new 500 series will run for $300 and $350 and are available now.
