Japan has a much lower threshold for insane gadgets hitting the market. That is to say, it takes a lot less for something to hit the shelves in Japan than it does in the States. Whether or not that's due to lower standards in Japan or just more people willing to spend money on stupid stuff is up for debate.
Today's example of something that would never make it to Best Buy here in America is Mr. Tengu, a little box with lights in the shape of a face. He plugs into your USB port and does such useful things such as react to your music with a range of sure-to-be wacky facial expressions. When he gets "tired," he falls asleep. How adorable! And useless! Only in Japan, my friends. Only in Japan.

Not make it to Best Buy? I don't know, if silly little toys like I-Dog, I-Cat, I-Fish and now I-Cy (the penguin) can prosper this surely can.

People that write these articles are completely useless. He obviously has never owned, or even tested the product at all. it does not get "tired" it goes into a power save sleep mode if no sound is present after a few minutes. Hey, next time hire a writer who writes his own articles while your at it . http://gizmodo.com/285365/solid-alliances-mr-tengu-does-pretty-much-nothing
