You've seen Nixie clocks and Nixie watches, but even with all the cool designs out there, the best design is the one you do yourself. LED Sales has a basic do-it-yourself Nixie clock kit so can impress your friends with a genuine Nixie, without forking over the thousands of dollars.
The kit comes with a logic board that will control the six IN-14 Nixie tubes that display hours, minutes, and seconds in either a 12-hour or 24-hour configuration. The kit even features an alarm system that you can program to play any tune. For $170, this kit could have you creating the next trendy design that will make its way around the blogosphere. However, putting together one of these things isn't for the faint of heart, so you might want to read the directions before you buy one of these kits and accidentally burn down your house.

Hi,
I built one of these LED sales clocks, I also wrote some software for the picaxe 08 to use as the alarm, it uses the onboard pot (as a variable snooze timer) and the push button to select either snooze or to cancel the alarm. If you would like the listing for the software please contact me.
Regards
Gordon.
