With the proclamation "one size does not fit all," Logitech released a long list of features for their upcoming G9 customizable mouse. The G-series of mice previously raised some eyebrows with the G5 by letting gamers load different weights into a built-in cartridge to adjust the mouse's heft. Now Logitech is shipping the G9 with two adjustable grip sleeves, dubbed the Wide-Load and Precision grips, with the promise of more in the future. The Wide-Load grip sounds built for comfort with its "satin feel," while the Precision sleeve, designed to stay dry, will battle sweaty palms during tense frag fests.
The G9 retains the weight cartridge of its predecessor, though comes with an improved laser sensor capable of up to 3200 dpi. Features that gamers have become accustomed to are all there, such as being able to adjust sensitivity on the fly. The G9 can also store five profiles in its mouse brain, accompanied by a color-changing LED to let you know which profile you've selected. If you're the kind of gamer who likes their mice smart, look for the G9 in September for around $100.
