Google allying with HTC to create Google Phone?

Google_Phone_gizmodo.jpg

While most people simply use Google to search the Internet for anything and everything online, the company has yet to reach people in the real world — with, say, some kind of gadget. That's all about to change, one blog reports.

CrunchGear says that, yes, the search-engine giant is indeed coming out with a phone. The report comes from a source inside of electronics manufacturer HTC, and supposedly Google is working with HTC's people to finalize the phone's design (the picture above is a rendering from our pals at Gizmodo).

What can we expect if such a phone is indeed in the works? It would probably have improved versions of Google's many services, fully usable in a portable format — from GPS-enabled Google Maps to free VoIP communication provided by Google Talk. What seems to have most people wondering is what operating system Google will pin down for its phone? Will they go with Windows Mobile 6, Linux, or one of their own?

I like google, because they have done a good job so far on (Hey Verizon....this is directed towards you) RAPING PEOPLE!

I hate versizon...but I use them because in my location, they have the most towers.

I would like to see google comes out with a cool looking phone, with a slick UI, and have it be user friendly....meaning I can easily see how many minutes I used (on the phone, not by calling a number), and have it have a good camera (2MP) and make it easy to be able to pu the pictures and music, to & from, your pc & phone. ringtones should not cost money either.
I'm fine if theres some small tiny ads on the phone (as long as its not like "in your face".

I would like to see it cost around 30-40 bucks a month, and the upfront cost be no more then 300.
oh...and use the 700mhz spectrum....which yes google, that means I think you should snap that up.

thats about all I have......at the moment.
