Germans develop body heat electricity

body-heat-electricity.jpg

There's power to be found everywhere, from our footsteps to tornadoes. The trick is just figuring out how to harness it. Some German scientists at the Fraunhofer Institute have figured out a way to run electronics off of our body heat.

Yep, soon your iPod could be powered by your sweaty palms, or your laptop by the heat of your body in a special office chair. I can't imagine that all too much power can be harnessed just from body heat, but hey, any free energy is good, right? There are no plans to see this technology put into consumer devices at the moment, but that all could change in the future.
