FogScreen creates walk-through ads, irritation

fogscreen1.jpg

Advertisers are always looking for new ways to throw their brand name in front of you, with the goal seeming like it must be to have ads in your vision at all times wherever you are sometime in the near future. Helping them achieve that goal is the FogScreen, a "walk-through projector" that will allow ads to fill entire spaces, such as walkways in subway tunnels, with an ad that you can walk right through.

It works by turning water (1-2.5 gallons per hour) into cool, dry fog. It blows a sheet of fog straight down, then projects video onto it. The wall of fog can be walked through without leaving a residue or any harmful effects at all, other than annoyance, at least. Boy, it sure sounds horrible, doesn't it? Let's leave the ads where they are, there are enough of them already.

are these people crazy or what. this is so stupid. I am already so sick of ads I never pay attention to any of them, lots of people I know do the same, they are just to annoying to be effective. Not to mention that at this point in history the human population continues to grow out of control, resources are getting more scarce by the minute, and these "people" want to waste water to advertise whatever ridiculous product they are peddling now.
