Since technology is inescapably intertwined with all of our lives these days, parents pretty much have two options for their kids: work on getting them tech savvy, or join an Amish community. Since you're reading this post here and not over on the Official Butter Churning Forums, I'll take it for granted that you fall into the first camp.
Since the Internet can be a scary place to unleash kids onto, Fisher Price has come up with the Easy Link Internet Launch Pad, recommended for little users ages 3 and up. The Easy Link allows for kids to explore various content pages depending on which popular characters, like Elmo from Sesame Street, they plug into the Launch Pad. Then, they'll be free to explore sites based on the characters, offered links to read and games to play. And that's the only thing they'll be doing — your tot won't be allowed to run amok over the Internet or your computer's hard drive. The Launch Pad only works on machines running Windows, but for just $30, the peace of mind the device offers might more than make up for it.
