Sanyo's Katana DLX: Shiny, slim and makes calls

sanyo_katana.jpg

If you liked Katana, you're going to love its daughter, the Katana DLX by Sanyo (not to be confused with DreamAuthentics' game console. Available from Sprint, the Katana DLX has newer and better ways to receive multimedia content: There's Sprint TV and more than a dozen streaming radio apps (including Sirius satellite radio), but to me one of the qualifications of being a multimedia phone is having a decent amount of onboard memory. To that end, the Katana DLX has a microSD slot that supports capacities up to 4 GB. Nice.

The Katana DLX is available now for $130 with two-year subscriber agreement (ugh) and $50 mail-in rebate.
