PSP Slim trims the fat, doesn't add much else
Sony's hoping to boost the lagging sales of their PSP handheld by releasing an updated PSP Slim model. While it looks nearly identical to its predecessor, it boasts a body that's 33% lighter and 19% slimmer. It also has better battery life, faster load times, and video output for TVs.
It all sounds well and good, but is it enough to get people interested in the PSP again? It seems to me that what's been holding sales back hasn't been the fact that the original PSP is too bulky, it's that there aren't many decent games for the system. Whether the system is heavy or light, if there's nothing fun to play on it people aren't going to buy it. But hey, that's just me.

I have to say I'm not overly excited about this psp model because frankly I like the one that I have. I have in the past few months also become satisfied with the game selection and some of the upcoming games are pretty exciting too. I just wish there was some new on the gps and camera for the states.

the PSP has been selling good for a while now....its just not selling as much as the nintendo DS. But its by no means at all doing poorly.
While the changes they have made are all good....I think they should off done more work on a design change...it worked for DS & the PS2, changes it a little just isn't good enough, if you cant tell if someone has the new PSP or old PSP from sitting across the room from them....then Sony should of worked harder.

ok, the psp may not have like a billion awsome games but the ones that are good are like freaking amaizing. i played the best the DS has to offer verises the best the psp has to offer and if your a hard core game and like deep gamplay like in metal gear solid portable ops. you'll like the selection avalibe on the psp if you know where to look. making the games on the DS is sooo much cheaper programing wise but not producting (1G flash card games. and if you want somthing fast and fun and i cant believe i will admit it loko roko is tooo much fun like its criminal how fun just one level over and over is. (Sony fan boy really freaking bi-est)
