Some of us are still waiting for an alternative to the boring little chunks of plastic everyone seems so fond of holding to their ears. Personally, I'd rather have a little badge on my chest that I can tap to make calls. Until we're able to walk into that glorious future hand-in-hand, free of dull cell phones, the mobile watch phone by Chinese developer Cect is a design to tide us over.

The watch functions the way you would expect it to, but also doubles as a GSM phone and a media player. It has a speaker and a mic for making calls, but just so everyone in the general doesn't hear all of your secrets, Cect also plans to include both a headphone jack and Bluetooth functionality. It'll be interesting to see how only three buttons on either side of the small LCD screen make up all the controls. The watch isn't yet available in China or anywhere else, but one day it'll be ours, comrade. — Kevin Hall
