The main problem that people switching from desktops to laptops face at this point is that of upgradeability. While it's a cinch to upgrade basically any component in a tower PC, doing the same with a laptop is basically impossible. Sure, you can add another sick of RAM, but beyond that you're basically stuck with original components for the life of your computer.
Well, Asus is looking to change that. Their new C90S notebook is upgradeable in almost every way, from the screen to the video card to the processor. The basic specs of the C90S include the Intel Conroe desktop processor, a 15.4-inch screen, a 2.0 megapixel webcam, HDMI, Bluetooth, an integrated TV tuner, E-SATA, an 8-in-1 media card reader, 802.11n WiFi, a fingerprint reader, 3 USB ports and support for either HD-DVD or Blu-ray drives. Of course, any of that stuff can be removed and other stuff added, as is the nature of this machine, but those are some pretty hot base specs. It's available now for around $1,300, depending on the configuration.
