Steampunk monitor completes set

steampunkmonitor1.jpg

We're big fans of the steampunk craze, where normal everyday gadgets are retrofitted to look like something from long ago, so when we found out Jake von Slatt created a steampunk monitor to go along with the other steampunk computer accessories he's built, we were really stoked.

Jake tore apart a Dell 1907FP flat panel monitor, but instead of refitting the peripheral with brass, he simply spray painted the metal finish with some Krylon gold paint. Add a couple of brass arms from the 19th Century, and the look is complete. Best of all this monitor runs on neither steam nor punks.
