Logitech's wireless Transporter spreads music throughout the house

logitech_Transporter.jpg

The Transporter from Logitech is an elegant digital audio streamer. This contraption does and will stream butt-kicking music throughout your house. There's no hard drive on board, instead receiving music streams via W-Fi from your PC, some other device, or straight from the Internet. It's designed to easily get tunes from Web services like Rhapsody and Pandora.

A true servant, the Transporter (hardware made by Slim Devices) can also exist on a wired network, and can handle a variety of compressed and uncompress music formats including WAV, AIFF, WMA, and MP3. On sale now for $2,000, the Transporter is sure to be as wildly popular as Sonos's wireless music system, whose sales have eclipsed the iPod at least a million times over.
