Apple just had its big fancy keynote at their Worldwide Developers Conference, where they went over their upcoming OS, Leopard, in detail. There wasn't a ton that we didn't already know about, but some highlights include a better document preview system, accessibility from any Mac, and more details on the Time Machine backup system.
One really interesting announcement, however, was that Apple is releasing its browser, Safari, for Windows. Far less popular than Internet Explorer and Firefox, Safari has long been seen as the third wheel in the browser race, bringing little to the table that Firefox wasn't already doing better. But with speeds that Apple claims are much faster than the reigning champs and security that some claim is better than even Firefox's, Safari might just make a splash on this new platform. Time will tell.

Actually from what I've read the security of safari is crap! http://blogs.zdnet.com/security/?p=283
Of course we have yet to see how it performs on windows exactly. But the beta I installed yesterday only worked the first time, then didn't.
Bottom line it ain't better than FF.
