Wovel shovel, moving snow the easy way

Wovel-Throwing-Snow.jpg

Looking like something from the 1800s, the Wovel wheeler is remarkable for removing snow, promising to clear the white stuff it at a fraction of the effort it would take with a regular shovel. That would come in real handy in the North Country, where snow is called the "widowmaker" because of all the heart attacks caused by shoveling.

The Wovel has a 36-inch wheel and it works kind of like a seesaw. You just roll the wheel down a snow-covered driveway or sidewalk, and the shovel fills up with snow. Then push down on the handle and the blade on the other end rises, sending the snow flying. There is also a chipper blade for ice removal. At $120, it's much cheaper than a snow blower.
