OK, kids, it's time to stop trying to innovate the computer mouse. Logitech did a decent job with its Revolution model, but now everybody's doing it — throwing in features that are borderline useless, like LCD screens or dual cursors. Take this tablet mouse from Chinese manufacturer HanWang. I don't know if any PC user anywhere has ever thought, "Man, I could really use an electronic writing surface on my mouse. Sure wish someone would invent that."
The writing area on the T&Mouse, as it appears to be called, is a mere 1.2 x 1.6 inches, and it can recognize characters in Chinese and English, exporting them to word-processing software. If you lose the stylus (and you know you will), you can still use your fingertip. Seriously, whatever minimal use you might actually get out of this thing probably isn't worth the tradeoff in ergonomics. Just as well the T&Mouse isn't available in America, and most likely never will be. Sleep easier.
