SLIQ phone: Exactly what it says on the tin

sliq_phone.jpg

We suspect designer Mike Serafin had a little iPhone on the brain when he came up with the SLIQ, a concept phone whose most prominent feature is a touchscreen. Well, actually, its most prominent feature is being damn sexy, at least in the renderings Serafin put together.

The SLIQ is intended to "take over the features" of a PDA and phone, so we presume some Windows Mobile smartphone action going on here, though it's a concept, so we may as well throw in GPS, thumbprint activation and a force field while we're at it. One interesting innovation is the hand crank on the side, which you can use to power the phone up in a pinch. Don't read too much into the Samsung logos — the company may have nothing to do with this project, though if it's looking to sex up its mobile line, it could do a lot worse.
