Any product that prevents temper tantrums is okay by me, and the Chargepod certainly qualifies for that category. We've all been there, cursing all things electronic as we try to untangle the jumble of cords charging our ever-expanding collection of devices. That stress-inducing task is happily reduced to utter simplicity by connecting your devices to the six ports of the Chargepod, a plug-in charging station that uses voltage-regulating technology and a wide range of adapters to let you juice up anything from cell phones and Bluetooth earpieces to PDAs and MP3 players.
For added fun, combine the Chargepod with the glowing Power Aware Cord, and you'll get to see just how much energy you're consuming in exchange for ubiquitous connectivity.
But (there's always a but, isn't there?) as smart as the Chargepod appears to be, don't be suckered by the $50 price tag, as that only gets you the core charging station. Adapters are an extra $10 each, so if you have six devices and would like to charge them all simultaneously, tack on an extra $60. Then again, how much is it worth to avoid that next, inevitable tangled-cord-induced rampage?

An even easier way to do this would be to buy a powered usb hub and not hook it to the computer, exlucding the bluetooth headsets everything in that picture would charge from a powered hub, and those you can buy for $10-12 dollars at biglots. Toss in a universal usb kit for another $10 and you've done everything but light it up for under $25.
