As anyone who has them can tell you, having allergies sucks. A lot. Being outside can just be pure torture, and you need to escape to a controlled climate to get some relief. Ford wants to provide allergy sufferers with just such a climate with their new Mondeo.
Dubbed an "allergy-free" car, the Mondeo is designed to be an island of relief. They've made it such by "abolishing chrome and nickel from the cockpit, using low-emission adhesives and allergen-tested textiles and leathers." That means that if you're suddenly caught out in a field of kittens and pollen, you can run into your car and breathe easily. It's coming to the European market, but who knows, maybe this design will make it stateside eventually.
