DLO Transdock Deluxe hooks up iPod, charges cellphone

dlo_ipod_dock.jpg

The DLO TransDock Deluxe makes it easier to use your iPod in your car by giving you controls right at your fingertips. Strap its remote onto the steering wheel, and it communicates with your iPod in its little holster. That holster does more than just transmit the iPod's output to your car radio via the FM band, it's also a USB charging port for your cellphone or any other USB devices. Plus, its video-out port lets you feed the iPod's video to those flip-down screens or head rest monitors in that minivan of yours.

Because this TransDock communicates with the car radio via FM like most car iPod docks do, it might sound noisy. But you can overcome that problem by connecting the TV out port directly to your cassette adapter or car audio input. If that's not an option, this unit has a high-powered antenna that could alleviate some of those FM transmission problems. Complete with two different mounting brackets, it's $129.99.
