USB drum kit, less annoying than the real thing

usbdrumkit.jpg

The next time your kid begs you for a drum kit, just remember drums are noisy and take up a lot of room. Unless you're trying to get revenge on an ex-spouse, or happen to be a glutton for punishment, the roll-up USB drum kit is probably the way to go.

The kit has six different pads that users can program with different sounds including mellow jazz, hard rock and others. If you've never picked up a pair of sticks, don't worry — the USB drum kit has a learning mode that teaches you where and when to hit. You can even adjust the tempo to match your learning curve, and record your beats for later use. And since the kit rolls up, you don't have to skip work to bang on de drums all day (hey, can't have drum story without a Rundgren reference). The first wave will be available at the end of April for $35, with more flooding the market in August with a slight increase in price of $45.
