Photo frame defies gravity, hovering in disco goodness

magnetic_frame.jpg

Your jaw might drop when you first glance at this electromagnetic photo frame, that is, until you spend a couple of seconds figuring out how it works. Working in the same way as the floating clock we showed you a couple of weeks ago, it's all done with precisely-controlled electromagnets, and the way they repel each other keeps that frame hovering within its U-shaped mooring. Adding to the mysterious glamor is a rainbow of LEDs illuminating the festivities.

Insert your favorite photos into either side of the 4.8-inch-tall hovering frame, and watch the pics in constant motion, slowly rotating around as if by some magnetic miracle. All this semi-tacky exotica comes at a rather exotic price: it's 44.95 Euros, or about $60. Now if this were a digital picture frame hovering in mid-air powered by some strange wireless electro-conducting phenomenon, it would be truly magical.
