Wind power is great, but don't you people know that the wind speeds are a heck of a lot higher when you get up off the ground? That's why this M.A.R.S. (Magenn Power Air Rotor System) is so smart. It's a wind turbine loaded up with helium and connected to a tether that's over 1,000 feet long, letting it hang out way up in the sky where the wind blows harder. It'll then generate a bunch more energy and send it back down to earth for consumption by us lazy, land-dwelling humans.
It's a pretty sweet idea, and it would be awesome to get a lot of cheap energy from an army of airborne pods. It's stuff like this that makes me realize that we are living in the future, and the future is pretty awesome. Cheers, science!

What happens when this thing is struck by lightning?

All of my helium filled balloons end up sinking to the ground. will it have to be regularly refilled? I think there's a ton of potential here, But I recently ready that there's only about 10 places in the US that can convert helium so it seems like it would be more expensive than the energy it could create.
