MacLockPick busts through Apple's security easily

maclockpick.jpg

Need to get access to someone's Mac but don't have the awesome hacking skills necessary to bust through their passwords? Just get a MacLockPick, a USB thumb drive that'll cut through any Apple Computer's security like a hot knife through butter. It can bust open encrypted disk images, Wi-Fi base stations, iTunes Store, iChat, Apple Remote Desktop, login details for websites and email accounts as well as peer-to-peer network information, making your computer about as secure as a cookie jar at an overeaters anonymous meeting.

Designed for law enforcement agents and investigators, it's not easy to get a hold on if you just want to read your girlfriend's email. Nope, you've got to prove that you work for a law enforcement agency in order to have the privilege of dropping $400 on one of these things. But hey, what's a little document forgery when you have such noble intentions?

maybe by using the USB to load code on the host at insertion time?

I theory if you log out, the encryption system is locked and this device would not be able to crack your encryption perhaps.

This tool doesn't "bust" any security. It's an app that collects passwords from an unlocked keychain that just happens to ship on a USB drive.
