Ion hanger removes smoke odor from clothes
ion_hanger.jpg

Designer Jun Kurihara thinks clothes-hanger technology hasn't even come close to peaking yet. While a nice plastic model will keep your clothes generally crease-free, Kurihara's upgrade will remove any smoke odors as well, saving you a trip to the dry cleaner after a night out (assuming you're somewhere that hasn't banned smoking in bars and restaurants yet).

Details on exactly how the hanger would work are vague, which is unsurprising since it's a concept product, and not in production. Most likely, those holes on the flaps bathe your garments in oxygen ions, which banish those pesky smoke molecules. Just guessing, but it might not do as good a job on a long coat as it would on a shirt. At least it folds up for easy packing for those trips to Vegas.
