This all seems quite magical and everything, but it seems to me that this thing would become a creature of routine, and if you happen to not feel like coffee at 8:17 one morning you're going to be stuck with a cup of wasted coffee. And don't lots of coffee makers currently have ways to set them to brew you a cup as you're waking up in the morning?
