A camera hidden in a locket

kodak1881.jpg

This giant locket is more than a huge piece of bling — it hides a pretty slick piece of technology inside. It's a Kodak 1881 digital camera, and if you open it up you'll see two LCD screens that allow you to look at the pictures you've taken.

It's a pretty sweet idea, but that locket is absolutely enormous, and since it's an actual camera and not a hollow piece of jewelry, it's got to be pretty hefty. I'm not sure if I'd want to walk around all day with a camera hanging from my necklace, but I guess it's more convenient than having to root through your pockets or purse for it. In any case, I'm not really the intended market for this thing, as I don't really wear big pieces of jewelry around my neck.

Anyone else remember that Simpsons episode where Homer spies on the Kwik-E-Mart using that giant hat with a camera inside?...
I mean, is it meant to be hidden/spy cam? Cause that really looks like a lens on the front of it... What's the point?
