WiFi blocking paint goes great with tin foil hats

painter.jpgIf you worry about your neighbors mooching your precious WiFi from you, but are somehow too lazy and/or stupid to set up simple wireless security to keep them from doing so, there are now more… extreme… measures you can take to keep your signal secure.

A new paint has been developed that will block errant WiFi signals, keeping your Internet connection stuck inside whatever rooms have said paint. Of course, with WiFi broadcasting at the somewhat-common 2.4Ghz band, it'll also presumably block stuff like cordless phones and other proprietary wireless devices, but who cares? Your neighbors won't be able to check their email for free anymore, and you'll be teaching them a valuable lesson about honesty and taking petty things way too far.

Wow, What ignorance. Why would you automatically assume people who'd use this would be worried about "neighbors mooching your precious WiFi". Some people actually experience health problems from exposure to wifi signals. Ever heard of EMF sensitivity? I'm sure those people would much appreciate something that could block wifi signals from getting into their apartments so they could relax, and more importantly sleep.
