A retro look, 10 megapixels, options aplenty — what's not to love about Ricoh's Caplio GX100? Despite the old-school aesthetics, it's a very modern 1 inch thick and sports a 2.5-inch LCD around back. Given all the optional accessories, including a removable electronic viewfinder (handy when shooting in bright sunlight) and an "ultra-wide-angle" 19mm conversion lens, it's not really a point-and-shoot. But it's not quite a digital SLR either, considering the 24-72mm lens (with 3x zoom) that's integrated into the body.
But forget about semantics — we're talking 10 megapixels here. There are other cool features as well, such as the 1:1 aspect ratio mode for taking square pics and vibration correction that moves the CCD image sensor to compensate for any shake. The Caplio GX100 drops in April for about $786. Check out another picture of it, with the optional viewfinder, after the jump.
