Peanut Lights free your hands in the dark

peanut_emergency_lights.jpg

It seems every time I need to monkey around with some cables behind the sofa, it turns into a two-hand job. That means I've gotta put the flashlight down, try my best to point it at the target area and hope that it doesn't roll away — a vain hope, nine times out of ten.

Sure could use me some Peanut Emergency Lights. These lightweight little suckers have removable Velcro strips on the back, letting me stick 'em to fabric surfaces like the carpet, the back of the couch, or even my air-guitar shirt. Once in place, the Peanuts bathe the area with cool LED illumination. Their replaceable coin-cell batteries last 12 hours, more than enough for any quick-fix jobs. $24 gets you a set of three.
