Belkin plugs your desk hole with USB hub

belkinusb.jpg

Computer desk manufacturers build desks with holes that allow users to run wires from their computers to peripheral devices. I abandoned that access hole ages ago when it became too tight to fit all of the cables and wires connected to my multiple systems, leaving me with a hole I have no use for until now.

Belkin has announced a line of USB hubs that fit inside those 3-inch desk holes thus reclaiming lost desk space. The company has both front access and flat grommet designs that allow for the connection of up to four USB devices. Belkin is even nice enough to throw in a cable to run from the hub to your computer. The company isn't stopping with USB hubs; it also has plans to release an iPod dock adapter to keep your iPod in place, preventing it from sliding around your desktop. The three in-desk units will be shipping soon for $39.99 each.
